Cost Of Eye Surgery by Mr Alex Day at Moorfields Private Eye Hospital London
Do you want to stop wearing glasses or contact lens? Have you been told you have cataracts and want to see better? Have you had cataract surgery elsewhere and still need glasses for distance?
If you would like a detailed assessment and opinion on treatment options, please call to book an appointment. Appointments are typically available within one to two weeks and you do not need a referral letter from your GP or Optometrist.
All new patient consultation fees are those if booked directly via my practice. If you do choose to proceed to surgery, all self-pay surgery fees are surprise-free, which means there are no last minute additions. The fees below include all hospital, surgical, anaesthetic fees as well as post-operative assessment and any necessary medications taken home on the day of surgery.

High prescription (≥-6 diopters) LASIK, TransPRK/ LASEK or SMILE Pro (both eyes): £5,632
Your treatment includes
- Mr Alex Day’s surgical fee
- Moorfields Eye Hospital facility fee
- Post-operative eye drops
(to take home on the day) - Follow-up assessments for three months.
- Any further laser eye treatment within five years if required (myopic corrections).
Other eye conditions unrelated to the laser refractive surgery are not included.
Private Cataract Surgery With Standard Lens (Non-Toric Lens Implant)

Including Toric Monofocal; Extended Depth of Focus (EDOF) and Multifocal Lenses with Astigmatism Management.

YAG laser capsulotomy is performed as an outpatient procedure for posterior capsule opacification. The self-pay fee includes:
